At a local level The Alliance is a recognised and increasingly used interface between the children and young people's voluntary sector and Hampshire Children's Trust partners.  The Alliance supports Hampshire Children’s Trust Partners to consult effectively with the children and young people's voluntary sector by arranging, marketing and facilitating voluntary sector-specific consultation events.

Incorporation of The Alliance

 
The consultation on proposals to incorporate The Alliance as a charitable company limited by guarantee closed on 30 April.  All those who replied have received a written response.  A composite letter detailing all the points raised and The Alliance response can be viewed by clicking here


National Consultations

Skills Third Sector - A National Skills Strategy for the Voluntary Sector

Your views on a National Skills Strategy for the Voluntary Sector are needed as the government has pledged support to voluntary sector organisations in delivering the Big Society, particularly in providing more public services and building strong communities.

To rise to these challenges charities, social enterprises and other voluntary sector organisations need people with the right skills in the right numbers to make a difference.

Independent Review of the Office of the Children's Commissioner - Call for Evidence

Closing Date: Monday 4 October 2010

The Secretary of State for Education, Michael Gove, has invited John Dunford to conduct an independent review of the office, role and functions of the Children's Commissioner for England. The review is looking particularly at the powers, remit and functions of the Children's Commissioner, how this role relates to other functions supported by Government and value for money. The review is being supported by a secretariat of Department for Education officials. The review was announced in Parliament on 12 July 2010.
